Louis “Lou” E. Valanzola of Hull, formerly of Braintree and Jamaica Plain, passed away on February 7, 2010. He was 82 years old. He was the son of the late Urbano & Louise(Genco) Valanzola. The loving companion of Angela Mazetis of Hull. Father of Robert L. Valanzola of Mansfield, Edward W. Valanzola of Mansfield, Louis U. Valanzola of Rockland, Gary G. Valanzola of Kingston, and Paula M. Valanzola-Horton of Hanson. Former husband of Evelyn R. Valanzola of Braintree. Brother of Dolly Genovese of Jamaica Plain and the late Josephine Valanzola, Urbano “Jr.” Valanzola, and Richard “Geno” Valanzola. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
Lou was a Navy Veteran of WWII, and a graduate of Boston University Class of 1951. He was a Certified Public Account and worked at Raytheon as a Controller for many years. He enjoyed cooking, boxing, and especially enjoyed tennis, where he was a member of the Raytheon Tennis League. Lou was an avid Red Sox Fan.
