William Breer

William Lewis Of Sherborn, passed away unexpectedly at age 76 on Oct. 13, 2011, following cancer treatment for a recurrence of lymphoma. Beloved husband of Barbara Joan (Borngesser) Breer for over 52 years. Loving father of Douglas Breer and his wife, Karen, of Freeport, ME; Timothy Breer and his wife, Lydia, of Dacula, GA; and Rebecca Leonard and her husband, Michael, of Wayland, MA. Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Griffin, Mina, Hunter, Ben, Mallory, Lidy, and Bryn. Also survived by a dear cousin, Loretta Colborn, and her husband, Larry, of Dewey, AZ; dear brothers, Paul Breer, of Carbondale, CO and the late Dr. Robert Breer of Manchester, CT; dear brother-in-law, Bert Borngesser, and his wife, Nancy, of Raleigh, NC; and many dear nieces and nephews. Bill grew up in Amsterdam, NY; graduated from Marietta College in 1957 where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity; served in the Army from 1957-1959; and was a stock broker/Vice President at Kidder Peabody in Boston for 35 years. Always an avid gardener, after retirement in 1994 he especially enjoyed travelling the world with his wife and activities with his grandchildren.

Memorial service to be held at 1 PM on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Unitarian Universalist Area Church at First Parish in Sherborn.
