Walter August "Gus" Gustafson Jr., age 80. Beloved husband, father, grandfather. Born and raised in Milton, MA. Graduated from Milton High School class of '54. Served in the U.S. Army from '54 to '56. Graduated from Boston University. Worked at Westwood Furniture as a salesmen. Taught earth science and astronomy and retired from Brockton High School. Owner and operator of Hanson Carving Barn.
Survived by beloved wife, Sandra "Gus" of 58 years. Sons Walter August 3rd, Mark Steven, daughter Heidi Kristina, and grandchildren Matthew Steven, Kela Alana, Kawaika Devlin.
50 year resident of the town of Hanson, lover of books, stamps, and his family. Always ready with a joker and willing to share a laugh, his sense of humor will be sorely missed.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Walter's Life on Saturday, July 23, 2016, between the hours of 2-8pm, at the family home. This a casual event, all are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the charity of your choice.
