Susan (Pinkham) Dole

Susan (Pinkham) Dole of E. Bridgewater passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age 76. Susan was raised and educated in East Bridgewater graduating from East Bridgewater High School. She graduated Massasoit with an associate's degree and achieved her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Bridgewater State closing out her career as a student in 1986. Susan joined the workforce and was a successful social worker for her entire career.

Susan was a tremendous woman with a huge heart and was a woman of strong faith in the Lord. She enjoyed traveling, going to Hawaii and taking cruises with her husband. They were world travelers and explored all over Europe with their favorite destination being Italy. She previously served as President of the local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) and was formerly a member of the Cultural Center for the Blind.  When Susan was home you would find her dancing wherever she could and loving every moment of it! She was also devoted to her family and cherished all the time that she got to spend with them.  While our hearts mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and safely in the arms of Jesus.

Susan was the beloved wife of the late Robert Dole. She was the loving mother of Kimberly Buschenfeldt her husband Karl of Bridgewater and William Price and his fiancé Christina of St. Petersburg FL. She was the grandmother of Sarah, whom she was instrumental in raising, Dominic, Geneveive and great grandmother of Damien, Finn, Kyra, Aliyana and Aiden. Susan was the sister of Richard Pinkham, Wayne Pinkham, Nancy Monahan and the late Paula Campbell and Judy Pinkham. She also leaves behind many extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in memory of Susan on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 9-10AM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home (760 Washington St. Whitman). A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 10:30AM. The burial will take place at the Central Cemetery in E. Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Susan’s memory to National Federation of the Blind Massachusetts or Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter.
