Rosemary Morse

Rosemary (Peluso) Morse died on Thursday, March 30, 2017, comfortably at her home after a long, courageous battle with cancer at the age of 79. She was the wife of the late Frank Morse of East Bridgewater. Rosemary was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Louis Anthony Peluso and Rose Grace (Lachimia) Peluso, where she resided until moving to East Bridgewater in 1986. Rosemary spent many winters with her husband, Frank, in Fort Myers, Florida where she thoroughly enjoyed the warm weather. Rosemary was an incredibly intelligent woman.  She was a lifelong homemaker, enjoyed her morning coffee, and reading and socializing with family and friends.  She had a wonderful sense of humor.  She was always quick to beat any of her grandchildren at gin rummy, even if it meant cheating.  She loved to bake and cook, always making something for someone.  She was an avid lover of nature, especially of the animals she continuously fed in her yard.  She loved to crochet, and again, she was always making something for someone.  She made slippers and hats for her grandson Vaughn's friends at college, which they absolutely loved.  She would make blankets and slippers for people she would meet in stores like Rite Aid, CVS and Wal-Mart, just random people she would strike up a conversation with.  She also made many baked goods and blankets for the employees at Rockland Trust in Bridgewater.  She absolutely loved the staff there.  She continued crocheting until her hands hurt so much that she couldn't do it anymore, which saddened her.

She was selfless to the end, even giving the aids who took care of her from hospice her last apple insisting that they should have it. She loved her neighbors, Mike and Lynn Silva, Todd, Karen, Allie, Sean and Zach Pechulis, and also Mike, Lauren and Haylee.

Rosemary is survived by her two daughters, Luana Rose Duquette and her husband Burt Duquette; Sonja Louise Rodrigue and her husband Christopher Barnes.  Rosemary also has three grandchildren, Vaughn D. Maxson, Nicholas D. Paul and Sharrel R. Paul.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Rosemary was also the sister of the late Phyllis Patricelli, Lois DeCosta, Roberta Avitabile, Anthony Peluso (deceased), Gary Joy and Brenda Peluso.  She had many, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The loss of our mother, grandmother and sister will forever leave a hole in our hearts.

A gathering with be held to remember Rosemary on Saturday, April 15th at 894 Bridge Street in East Bridgewater beginning at 2:00pm.
