Roberta Bowen

Roberta C. Bowen (McIntyre) of Conyers, Ga. died peacefully on June 29, 2015 following a period of failing health. She was born at the Chelsea Naval Hospital on December 29, 1942. She grew up in Malden and graduated from Whitman High School in 1960. “Bobbie” enjoyed traveling around the country when she finally settled in Georgia in 1974. Although, there were many miles between us she was always in our hearts and will be sadly missed. She was the daughter of the late Marjorie Marotta and stepdaughter of the late Joseph Marotta and the late Herbert McIntyre. She was also preceded in death by her son James L. Hollis Jr. and her granddaughter Jennifer Mueller Overstreet. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Atton (McIntyre) of Weymouth. Her daughter in law Gloria “PJ” Hollis of Las Vegas and her grandson James L. Hollis III and his wife Ali of Hollywood. Her son Kenneth Hollis and his wife Lynn of Hanson and their children Joseph and David. Her son William Hollis and his wife Laura of Whitman and their children Kristina Mueller and Joseph Hollis and great granddaughter Fiona Overstreet. Her daughter Cathy DeSilva of Chelmsford and her children Sergio, Matthew and Sara.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday July 6 ^th in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman at 11:30 am.

Interment to follow at Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
