Richard Power

Richard L. Power, 54, a resident of Whitman, died Friday September 11, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton surrounded by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of thirty-three years, Susan Power and his two children Jason Power and Marybeth (Power) Lesnik, both of Whitman.

Richard is also survived by his mother Josephine Ernst of Hanson, Sisters Jeanne (Power) Mann of Whitman, Rhonda (Ernst) Lewis of Hanson, and Brother Robert Power of Whitman. Richard also leaves behind his son-in law John Lesnik and daughter-in-law Kristen Power, both of Whitman.

Richard was affectionately known as 'Frampa' to his four adoring grandchildren; Adrianna, Emily, JJ, and Mackenzie. He also shared a special bond and closeness with his many nieces and nephews.

Richard enjoyed cooking, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends; always the planner of cookouts and big family gatherings. He will be missed by all that knew him and remembered for his sense of humor, commitment to his family and willingness to sacrifice for anyone that needed him.

There will be a Funeral Mass for Richard at Holy Ghost Parish in Whitman on Saturday, September 19th 2015 at 9am followed by a reception at the Hanson Athletic Association on 171 Reed Street in Hanson.
