Richard A. “Richie” Parsley, 54 of Old Orchard Beach, ME , formally of Quincy, MA.  Richie passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on August 31, 1963, and sadly his mother, Barbara M. Parsley , passed when he was just 11 days old on September 11, 1963. He was then adopted by his maternal grandparents, Mary B. “Ma” (Ryan) Parsley (died 2000) and Edward Parsley (died 1974). Richie’s Mom called him home exactly  54 years later. Richie was the funniest person you could ever meet and was blessed with a brilliant mind. Richie had a great love for cars and motorcycles. One of the most heroic things he ever did was being a live liver donor for his brother, Dennis. He is survived by his wife Cheryle Higgins of S. Boston, son Anthony Stone of Dorchester and daughters Jennifer Higgins of S. Boston and Heather Lynn Parsley of E. Boston.  He was also a cherished Papa to his grandchildren Destini and Giovanni.  Richie is also survived by his beloved sister Beverly (Holbert) Rudnisky and her husband Steven of Holbrook,  brother Charles D. Holbert of Randolph and predeceased by his brother Arthur D. Holbert of PA (died 2010). Richie is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that saw him as a sibling and close friend. He will be greatly missed by all including his life-long special friend Kathy Silva.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6-8 pm at MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St., Whitman.

M emorial service to be held immediately following. Richie will be laid to rest with his mother, Barbara at New Calvary Cemetery  in Mattapan, MA. at 10:30 the following morning.
