Richard Joseph DiBlasio (Rick) of Brockton passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 75. Rick was the loving son of Louis Michael DiBlasio, Sr., and Mary Virginia (LoStrappo) DiBlasio of Brockton, formerly of Quincy and Braintree. Rick was born in Quincy and moved to Brockton with his family in 1956. Rick was raised and educated in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School. After his schooling he joined the United States Army and served for two tours. Once back home he stayed busy working as a handyman and selflessly helped others who needed help.
Rick always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, or just going out for a walk. He was an avid reader and always tried to keep his mind sharp with a good book or a crossword puzzle. Rick was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the Standish Sportsmen's Club in East Bridgewater. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rick was the loving brother of Michael Louis DiBlasio of Taunton, Debra Jean Caggiano of E. Bridgewater, Lucille Ann DiBlasio of Brockton, Theresa Mary DeVoe Tringali of Buzzards Bay, Regina Dolores DiBlasio of E. Bridgewater, Nicholas John DiBlasio of Wareham, and Joseph Richard DiBlasio of Taunton. He was predeceased by his sister Donna Marie DiBlasio of Quincy, and brother Louis Michael DiBlasio,Jr. of Canada. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 210 Central St., E. Bridgewater on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. A burial will follow the mass at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree, MA.
