Richard J. Bowe

Kingston - Richard J. “Butch” Bowe 82, died February 10, 2025, at the Life Care Center of the South Shore, Scituate after a long battle with Lewy Body Syndrome. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy M. “Mickey” Bowe of 60 years and his daughters, Patricia A. Mullally and her late husband Finley L. Mullally, Linda L. Mellett and her former husband Thomas P Mellett, and his son Richard T. “Tom” Bowe and his wife Lorraine Bowe.

He was predeceased by his brothers Stanley, Red, Billy, Phil, Pat, Joe, Johnny, and his sisters, Peggy, Georgie, Mary, Carol and survived by his brothers Donald and Bobby. Loving grandfather “Pa” to Jessica, Linda, Kathleen, Maureen, Ryan, Matthew, Seamus, Ann Marie, Amanda, Meaghan, Alexandra, and Tommy. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Butch was a proud painter by trade and gainfully employed as supervisor of maintenance, second shift, at Mass General Hospital for 33 years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass in memory of Richard on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10AM in the St. Ann's Parish, 757 Hancock St. Quincy MA 02170. All are welcome to join the family for a celebration of life following the mass at the Common Market, 97 Willard St. Quincy MA 02169. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Richards memory to the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org
