Phyllis Sullivan

Phyllis J. (Bowden) Sullivan, age 82, of North Chelmsford passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2017 at her home in North Chelmsford. Phyllis was born on February 7th 1935 in Norwood, MA to the late Keith D. and Elizabeth A. (McManus) Bowden. Phyllis left behind her loving husband of 59 years, Donald E. Sullivan.

Phyllis was a graduate of Walpole High School, and in 1955 graduated 3rd in her class from Dean College in Franklin MA. Phyllis worked as a dietician at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, and later as an instructional aide for the Chelmsford Public Schools. Phyllis volunteered as a religious education teacher and cub scout leader. Phyllis was a talented singer, enjoyed movies, and loved spending time at both the ocean and White Mountains. Phyllis enjoyed shopping,  collecting teddy bears, and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in N. Chelmsford.

Most of all, Phyllis was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Donald K. Sullivan, and Bruce E. Sullivan and wife Susan; her two grandchildren Allison Sullivan-Peters and husband Andrew Peters, and Sean Sullivan; and her two great grandchildren Colin and Braden Peters. Phyllis is predeceased by her son David Sullivan, and sister Jean Bowden.

A Celebration of Life - Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 17th, at 11:00AM for both Phyllis and loving husband Donald at St. John The Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
