Peter Kelly

Peter "Frank" Kelly of Whitman passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday August 5, 2014 with his wife Anne and family by his side. Born on December 6, 1931 and raised in Boston, Frank attended Boston Technical HS and graduated in 1949. Frank worked over 25 years for Barnstead Co. and then worked for Flyes Furniture following his retirement.  Frank was a long time and devoted member of the Knights of Columbus 347 in Whitman, where he took an active role including treasurer of the KFC Golf League and volunteering for many charitable events. In his spare time, he loved cards, golf and following his favorite Boston Sports team. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were frequent visitors.

Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years to Anne M. (Kirwan) Kelly, son Michael and his wife Kathy of East Sandwich, daughter Patricia and her husband Kevin Zygadlo of Hanover, and son Robert and his wife Judy of Hanson, and his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Beth, Sarah, Allison, Rob, Peter, and Anna."Grampy" was well loved and will be sorely missed.

Visiting hours will be in the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St.  Whitman Friday 4-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Ghost Church, Whitman Saturday at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Whitman.
