Panagiota "Yota" Dimopoulos

Panagiota “Yota” Dimopoulos, 75 of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away on Monday September 27, 2021 at South Shore Hospital. Born on October 22, 1945 in Greece, she later emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1965 to then becoming a US citizen in 1969. She started her family in Somerville, Massachusetts then later moved to Whitman, Massachusetts.

Yota was the wife of the late James Dimopoulos. She is survived by her daughters, Theoni Dimopoulos Reis of East Bridgewater and Hariklia Coulstring of Rockland. Her grandchildren, Robert Coulstring IV; Adriana Reis; Alexa Coulstring & great-grandson Robert V.

Brother, Michael Topouzoglou and his wife Theodora, the late John Topouzoglou survived by his wife Effie, the late  Adrodniki, and Kosta Kargatzis. With many nieces and nephews.

She devoted her life to her family and loved being a mother to her two daughters as well as any and all that would enter her home. When Yota wasn’t nurturing her children she loved to take her chances trying to win big on scratchies, and slot machines.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, October 1st from 4-7 p.m. at MacKinnon Funeral Home located 760 Washington St Whitman MA. Burial will follow at Saint James Cemetery, on Saturday at 10 am.
