Obituary for Norma Holloway
Norma Elizabeth (Kenerson) Holloway, 86, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of Parker Bradburn Holloway, Jr.
Born in Lynn Ma, she was the daughter of Everett and Martha Gwendolyn (Crowe) Kenerson, sister of the late Bruce Kenerson. Norma attended Lynn schools and was a long time resident of Lynnfield Ma. She was a graduate of Green Mountain College and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she met and married her husband of 63 years.
An active member of the Lynnfield Congregational Church, Norma was also an avid reader, and loved working in her garden. She was known for her historical knowledge of growing up in the area and her great wit; we will miss her stories greatly. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with family and her many lifelong friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Darryl O’Shea of Lynn Ma, Brian Holloway of Atlanta Ga, Laurie Fitch of Hudson NH; and Stacey Sullivan of Hockessin De. She also is survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to either the Centre Congregational Church, 5 Summer Street Lynnfield, Ma 01940 or the Lynnfield Senior Center, 525 Salem St. Lynnfield, Ma 01940.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Sunday, November 3 at the Centre Congregational Church at 1:30 PM.
