Maureen (Hutchinson) Rodgers Danforth, 75, entered into eternal life on March 13, 2018. She was born in Jamaica Plain on 9/17/42 to Patrick and Nellie Hutchinson.
She is survived by her beloved children Lynda McSherry of Palm City, Fl, Donna Leary of Hanover and Bobby Rodgers of Hanson, her loving grandchildren Brandon Davies, Megan McSherry and her husband Sean and great grandchildren Landon and Delaney. Her first grandson, Jason the light of her eyes - died in 2011 at the age of 27. All of her siblings have previously passed away, Thomas Hutchinson, Joseph Hutchinson, Rev. James Hutchinson, Joan Comer and Danny Hutchinson. She is also survived by many loving friends, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her sister in law Ellen Hutchinson of Weymouth. Finally her constant companion and best friend since 2005, her dog Molly.
Maureen, who was a dual citizen of Ireland and the United States, worked 28 years for Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover as a book keeper. She spent 14 years living in Stuart/Palm City Florida where she volunteered for hospice and the correctional facilities. She was comforted by so many loving friends and medical professionals in her final years especially the South Shore VNA and South Shore Hospital.
Funeral mass and celebration of life will be on Saturday March 17th at 9am at St. Mary's Church in Hanover. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grateful Patients at South Shore Hospital in memory of Maureen.
