Maura Patricia Campbell

Maura Patricia Campbell of Hingham passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 at the age of 80. Maura was raised in Newton, graduating Newton High School with the class of '61. Upon graduating, she received her college degree at  Mass College of Art. She married her husband, James in '65 and the two moved to Alexandria, VA while Jim was in the Pentagon. They started their family there and ultimately settled in Hingham, MA.

Maura was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She loved golf, needlepoint samplers, antiques, and had quite the green thumb. She enjoyed outings with the Hingham Ladies Club and being outdoors in the sunshine. Her deepest passion was art. In the beginning, her niche was theorem paintings but her talents extended well beyond. Through her love of the arts and extraordinary skills, she was able to proudly send both of her kids through college with the sale of her unique and beautiful creations . She was a devout Catholic who never missed a mass. Above all else, she was a family woman who cherished every moment she got to spend with them. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Maura was the beloved wife of James R. Campbell of Hingham. She was the devoted mother of David A. Campbell of Hanson, Jennifer E. Campbell and her partner Justin D. Spirito of Duxbury. She was the cherished Nan of Danielle "Dani" of Hingham. As well as Maura's precious granddog, Fawn. Maura was the sister of Brenda Stinson, Joan Morriarty and was predeceased by her sister Eileen Andrews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Maura on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Weymouth at 10:30AM. A celebration of life will follow at the South Shore Country Club in Hingham. As Jim is a Veteran, Maura will be buried in Bourne at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
