Mary "Bebe" Butts
January 4, 1938 — January 10, 2017
Mary (Green) Butts, 79 of Brockton entered eternal peace January 10, 2017 surrounded by her family. Mary, affectionately renamed "Bebe" by her brother Jack, was the youngest daughter of George and Annie Green, born and raised in Dorchester where she met and married her beloved husband Gerald Butts; married for 56 wonderful years. Together they made their home in Brockton and raised 5 children. A family of just the right mix of chaos and love! Mary was the loving mother to Deb (Michael) Calway of Hanson, Pamela (Joseph) MacInnis of Plymouth, Jerry (Kimberly) Butts of Raynham, Karen (Steve) Butts of Brockton, and Glenn (Linda) of Raynham. Sister of Barbara Matthies of Foxboro, and she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Robert Green, Bertha Mudge, and Jack Green. Also survived by her precious 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington Street, Whitman MA on Sunday Jan. 15th 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 9:00 am.
Burial to be held Tuesday, Jan 17th at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton at 10 am.
