Marjorie E. (Fisher) Bidmead age 98, of Sandwich, passed away April 17, 2015 at the Cape Regency Health Care Center in Centerville after a brief illness. She was born in Wakefield, MA on July 2, 1916, but lived most of her life in Winthrop, MA as a homemaker, where she and her husband Philip raised their children. Marjorie was the wife of the late Philip Bidmead. She is survived by her six children, William Bidmead and his late wife Valerie of Saugus, Brenda McCullough and her husband David of Newhall, CA, Judith Cohen and her husband Alan of Marstons Mills, David Bidmead of Boynton Beach, FL, Ronald Bidmead of Calais, ME, and Donna Nye and her husband Steve of Marstons Mills. Marjorie was blessed with a large family which included 15 grandchildren, and grandchild Bruce Cohen whom she now joins in heaven. Marjorie is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie was a generous soul that loved to crotchet and then gift her efforts to all she loved, whether it be family, friends and the residents and staff of Cape Regency. She often entertained many at the Sandwich Senior Center with her born ability and talent to play the organ and piano without reading the music. She was truly a beautiful person who embraced her family and friends. We will all miss her dearly!
Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 264 Cotuit Road, Sandwich, MA 02563 on Saturday, May 9 th at 1:00 PM.
