Marianna Burke

Marianna V. (Romano) Burke, 80 of Lakeville formerly of East Bridgewater and Abington passed away December 6, 2015. Wife of the late Peter P. Burke. She is survived by her children Paul Burke of Quincy, Brian Burke of Pocasset, Kevin Burke and his wife Susan of Lakeville, and Robert Burke of Attleboro, and the late Ellen Burke. Sister of the late Joseph Romano. Also survived by her grandchildren Peter Irwin, Michael Burke and great-granddaughter Alexis Irwin.

Marianna was born in Dorchester, and she was a former operator and executive for NE Telephone retiring after 43 years. She enjoyed going to the beach in New Symrna Beach Florida. She had resided in Lakeville with her son Kevin and his wife Susan for her later years. She was a loving, caring and generous mother and grandmother, and when she would always say” I love you “when parting with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Monday Dec. 14 ^th 4-7 pm.

Followed by a memorial service at 7 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
