Margaret Killorin

Margaret Killorin of Duxbury passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023, at the age of 102. Margaret was born, raised, and educated in New Haven, CT graduating from New Haven High School. After her graduation Margaret attended the Teachers College in Connecticut. She taught elementary school in Watertown CT until she met her husband, Frank. They were married in 1946 and enjoyed 70 happy years of marriage.

Margaret enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, summers on Cape Cod and spending time at Duxbury Beach. She was a voracious reader and a longtime member of the bible study group at the Holy Family Church in Duxbury. Above all else Margaret loved her family and all the time she got to spend with them.

Margaret was the loving wife of the late Francis Killorin. She was the devoted mother of Margaret Keirstead and her husband Steven of Richardson TX, Elizabeth Kelley and her husband Robert of Duxbury, Pamela Wright Higgins and her husband Dean of Saratoga Springs NY, Francis Killorin Jr. and his wife Nancy of E. Bridgewater and Mark Killorin of Crownsville MD. She was the sister of the late Mary Ahern, Grandmother of 9 and Great Grandmother of 10.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Margaret on Friday June 30, 2023, at 10AM in the Holy Family Church (601 Tremont St. Duxbury MA) and may arrive as early as 930AM to the church to greet family members. A burial will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu  of flowers donations may be made in Margaret‘s memory to the Holy Family Church in Duxbury.
