Wareham, MA

Lydia Ellen MacIver of Wareham passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2024, at the age of 56. Lydia was born and raised in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth high school with the class of 1986. After graduation she attended Quincy Community College and started working for Brinks. Lydia met Chris and they married in ’98 and started their family.

Lydia was a fun-loving woman with a big heart. She enjoyed traveling, spending time on the beach and frequenting the #1 beach in the country at Fort DeSoto Park when she lived in Tampa, FL. Above all else Lydia loved her kids and her family and cherished all the moments she got to spend with them.

Lydia was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sandra Nichols. She was the beloved wife of Chris MacIver of Wareham and devoted mother of Matthew and Tyler MacIver. Lydia leaves behind her sister Lisa and her husband Steve of Rockland, Ernie and his wife Kristen of Duxbury and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in honor of Lydia on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 2-6PM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home located at 760 Washington St. in Whitman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lydia’s memory to American Heart Association.
