Louise Mary (Wakefield) Balzarini, of Whitman, Massachusetts was born on August 4, 1950 and died on Monday November 9, 2015 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Louise was a woman of remarkable strength and humble faith. She was a devoted wife of over 40 years and proud mother of five sons. She is survived by her husband, Deacon Robert Charles Balzarini; her sons, Mark W. Balzarini ; and his wife Jessica ; Brother Adam R. Balzarini ; Matthew R. Balzarini , Robert C. Balzarini Jr. and his wife Meghan , and Jeffrey R. Balzarini ; and also cousins, family, and friends.

Louise had a heart for serving others. After graduating from Southeastern Regional School with a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree she went on to be a nurse for over 40 years, beginning at Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton, serving her patients with compassion by giving each the care and dignity they deserved. Louise was an avid pro-lifer, regularly attending the National Right to Life March in Washington, D.C. She volunteered for many years in parish life, coordinating the Giving Tree at Holy Family Parish in Duxbury and teaching Faith Formation over the years. Most recently at Holy Ghost Parish of Whitman she supported her husband, Deacon Bob, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, as well as an adorer of the Lord at Adoration and a Eucharistic Minister.

Louise loved her family and spending time with them, she loved her dog Boy, spending time with the Daughters Isabella and the Lady Sodality women. She liked arranging and decorating the tables at Father Glennon hall, thrift store shopping, the Sacred Heart Holly Berry Fair, visiting Williamsburg, Virginia and going on pilgrimages with her family. Her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, November 13th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MacKinnon Funeral Home 760 Washington St., Whitman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Holy Ghost Parish in Whitman and burial at St. James Cemetery.
