Lisa L. Curtin of Abington passed away on October 23, 2023 surrounded by her family. Lisa was raised and educated in Abington and attended Abington High School. After graduating high school she attended Vesper George School of Art. She married her husband, John in '78 and started a family. While raising her family Lisa worked many years as the manager of the Old Country Store in Mansfield, She was a substitute teacher for Abington public schools and owned an antique shop in Abington for 20+ years.
Lisa work was also her passion. She loved antiquing, shopping and collecting memorabilia especially World War 2 memorabilia. She was an artist and would enjoy creating and admiring various forms of art. Lisa was also the president of the Garden Club of Abington. She will be severely missed by all who was lucky enough to have known her.
Lisa was predeceased by her husband John P. Curtain. She was the loving mother of John P. Curtin Jr. his wife Marie-Nina of Abington and Nancy Galewski and her significant other of Pembroke. She was the devoted grandmother of Brailana, Elliott, Olivia and Stephen. She also leaves behind her siblings Richard Murphy of Maine, Melinda Towne of Abington and was predeceased by her sisters Beth Ellen Monahan and Laurie Abrams.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service in memory of Lisa on Thursday November 2, 2023 at 1030AM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home (760 Washington St Whitman). A burial will take place immediately following the service at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lisa's memory to the American Cancer Society.
