Laura Riley

February 3, 1965 — October 15, 2024

Melrose, MA

Laura Riley 59, of Melrose, formerly of Saugus and Milton, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. A respected paraprofessional in the Saugus Public School District, Laura was known for her intelligence and eloquence. An avid reader, she enjoyed engaging in thoughtful discussions, enriching the lives of those around her with her insights and knowledge.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Riley and a cherished mother to Roslyn Andrade and her husband Rigi, Patrick Riley, and George Riley. Laura was the dear sister of the late George Garabedian Jr. and a proud grandmother to Lindarose Andrade. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of the children she raised, the many friends she cherished, and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.

Known in the Melrose community as the woman who loved to walk her dog, Laura's warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. In honor of their mother’s spirit, her surviving children will lovingly spread her ashes in the ocean, a fitting tribute to a life filled with love and compassion.
