Kevin "Boogie" Malone Sr, of Plymouth (formally of Charlemont, Ma) passed away unexpectedly Wednesday February 19, 2014. Kevin was born in Boston, MA on September 6, 1955. Kevin was well known for being fun loving, humble, and carefree. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. His love of music, particularly rock & the blues, and his inclination to dance earned him his nickname, Boogie. As a young man, Kevin served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. When he returned home, a true "free spirit," he traveled across the country and back, making many friends along the way. While he called several places home in his lifetime, he returned to the Plymouth area in his later years. He enjoyed motorcycles, was a passionate Red Sox fan, and loved the ocean.
Kevin is survived by his children Jamie Silvia, Michael, Lisa, and Susan Accomando, Kevin, Kristin, and Casey Malone, Elise, Keith, and Erin Woiszwillo , brothers James (Skip) , Wayne , & Robert Malone, Scott Akusis, sister Sharon Alston and several grandchildren, nieces & nephews and extended family.
There will be a celebration of his life held at the John Alden Club in Plymouth, Ma on Thursday, February 27th, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
