Kathleen Allen

Kathleen T (Rice) Allen of Bridgewater passed away peacefully January 27, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 67. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Allen. Daughter of the late Wilbert F and Mary L. (Connor) Rice. Loving mother of Robert E. Allen Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Bridgewater, and the late Jeffrey Allen. Sister of Margaret Rice Mahoney and husband David of ME, William Rice and his companion Stephanie Long of Quincy, and Walter Rice of Boston. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kathleen grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School Class of 1966. She enjoyed camping at Sebago Lake in Maine. She was a loving and dedicated mother and loving wife. Her biggest joys in life were her two sons Robbie and Jeffrey, and loving daughter in law Jennifer, and her loving grandchildren Max, Katie and Gillian. She worked for many years at Kent’s Carpet in Rockland. She had many amazing friends, relatives and co-workers and will be sadly missed by all.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Monday Feb. 1 ^st at 8-9:30 am.

Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment will be private.
