Judith Smith

Judith (Judy) Mae Smith, 69 a lifelong resident of Whitman, died after a period of failing health on Wednesday January 27 surrounded by her loving and loyal family. Born and raised in Whitman, Judy was the daughter of the late Vernon and Jerry (Damon) Smith.

Judy was loved by all who met her and she left a special place in all our hearts.  Judy always would make you laugh on the saddest of days. She was truly a blessing to all who were lucky enough to know her.  Judy loved to make crafts for us to hang for every holiday.  Her greatest times were spent with her family on trips to Swifts Beach, New York, and The Marriott. For the last 8 years Judy had been under the kind care of Old Colony Elder Services. Judy loved her "DOOGS" Dusty and Daisy (aka Flower), they will miss her immensely.  She was an avid sports fan, she loved watching the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. You could always find her in her chair with a cup of tea making pot holders for all to enjoy.

Judy is survived by her faithful sister Eva Walther of Whitman and Sister in law Patricia Smith of Rockland, her nieces Dawn Varley and her husband Bruce of Whitman, Kayleen Newcomb and her husband Edward of Brockton, Sheri Campbell and her husband Brian of Carver, Colleen Egan and her husband Stephen Egan of Whitman and nephew William Smith of Florida, her Great Nephews William Varley and his wife Taylor of Whitman Paul and John Varley of Whitman, Edward Newcomb III and his wife Ruth of Taunton, Matthew Newcomb and Chelsea Keffer of Brockton, Great Great Nephew Jay Newcomb of Taunton, Very dear friends Sally Leitch and Gloria Knox of Whitman, as well as many friend and family.
