John Raczkowski

John Raczkowski of Whitman passed away March 9, 2014 at age 90. John was born in Konin Poland and came to America at 12 years old. He lived in Brooklyn, NY. He was a WW II Veteran Serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific Campaign. He has been a resident of Whitman for over 50 years. He was retired from Brockton Hospital after many years working as an x-ray tech.John was a past master of Masons Puritan Lodge, and also a member of Odd Fellows, Tall Cedars, Eastern Star and the Shriners. He enjoyed stamp collecting, woodworking and jewelry making.
Husband of the late Hazel ( Bush) Raczkowski. He is survived by his 2 daughters Carol O’Connor of Whitman and Marie Bradbury of Maine. Grandfather of Meghan , Kimberly, and Erin O’Connor, Alicia Provost, Sarah and James Bradbury. Great-grandfather of Eva Nutt and Benjamin DiGiovanni.
