John Damotta

John M. DaMotta, 82, passed away on May 25, 2017 at Morton Hospital, with his children by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Costa) DaMotta. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, son of the late John and Ermelinda (Medeiros) DaMotta. He was a retired employee of Harodite Industries of Taunton. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid soccer fan, most notably of Flamengo Soccer Club of Rio.

Mr. DaMotta is survived by his children, his son David Carvalho and his daughter Liana DaMotta-Santos and her husband Lucio, along with his grandchildren Chelsea Lynn, Michael, Kailani and Adelaide.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3rd, at St. Mary's Church, in Taunton at 10am.
