John Andreasen

John E. Andreasen, age 73 of Rockland, formerly of Neponset. Died peacefully on September 29, 2018 at South Shore Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his wife of 49 years Karin (Blixt) Andreasen, his children Kerrie Kraus and her Husband Paul, His Son Craig Andreasen and his wife Faith. His Grandchildren Daniel Kraus, Samantha Kraus, Paige Andreasen, Skyler Andreasen, Matthew Kraus, Jesse Knight & Ashten Knight. His sisters Phyllis Knudsen, Anna Marsico, Joan Hogan, Barbara Disbrow, Jeanne Holmes, Helen Ranahan and Patricia (Patsy) Simison.  And many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Parents Earl Andreasen and Anna (Rowell) Andreasen, His Brothers Thomas Andreasen and Earl (Sonny) Andreasen JR. and his sister Doris Cavicchi.

John was raised in the Neponset area of Dorchester, Attending Woodrow Wilson Jr High & Boston Technical High School. He married Karin Blixt, the love of his life, on September 13 1969. John was a Hardworking and selfless man who would drop everything to help you out. Anyone who knew him will remember John for his love of his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He loved spending time with his family and vacationing.

His interests included woodworking, Elvis Presley and coin collecting.

John was retired from the MBTA and was a member of the Painters Union District 35.

Relatives and friends invited ton visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St, Whitman on Thursday Oct 4 ^th 4-8 pm.

Funeral Service Friday at 10 am in the funeral home.

Burial to follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery at 227 Central St. Abington.
