Jason M. Silva, 20 years old of Whitman died unexpectedly in his home on Friday January 23, 2015. Jason was a graduate of Whitman Hanson class of 2012 and remained active in the school district's basketball programs. #30. Jason was a current student at Wentworth Institute in Boston in the mechanical engineering program, during his time there he had built a strong appreciation for the support of his step- father. He was loved by many and touched the lives of all he met. He will forever be remembered for his beautiful eyes, heart-melting smile and affinity for socks with sandals. His talents were limitless, an outstanding mentor, basketball player, artist and movie quote fanatic. He admired his older brother and his big sisters adored him.
Jason is survived by his mother Agnes (Drass) Silva and his step father Andrew Stevens of Whitman. He also leaves behind his siblings Savanah, Anthony and Erica Silva and his step sister Lyndsay Stevens & step brother Matthew Pilalas, all of Whitman; his nephews Robert, Frank and Jackson and his niece Avarie. As well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. The weight of his loss will be felt by many throughout our community.
Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Friday Jan. 30 th 2-4 & 6-9 pm.
Funeral Mass Saturday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 9 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
Interment will be private.
