Mr. Stockwell was born in 1930 and grew up in Boston’s suburban north shore. He graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover in 1948 and from MIT in 1952. Mr. Stockwell was an entrepreneur at heart and loved working at the leading edge of Technology. In 1957, Mr. Stockwell co-founded Adage Inc. with two MIT graduates, where he served as President, Treasurer, and Director until 1974. Adage was a Boston based manufacturer of computer graphics equipment.
