James L. Eaton of Halifax formerly of Houghs Neck, Quincy passed away February 23, 2019. He was 65. He is survived by his beloved wife Debra (Purtell) Eaton. His children Amy Springer and her husband Scott of San Antonio, TX, and Melanie Eaton of RI. Brother of Emily Lennon and her husband Thomas of Middleboro, and the late Leroy T. Eaton, Jr. and his wife Linda Eaton of Quincy. Grandfather of Tyler, Zachery and Jason. Also survived by nieces Melinda, Christine, Tina, Melissa, and his step-son Steven Doucette.
James was born in Quincy and grew up in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy. He is a retired custodian for the Brockton Public Schools. Former member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. James lived his life for the Lord and he was a member of the Promiseland Family Church, of Weymouth, and he was also a member of addiction ministries. He was a very loving father and he will be missed by all who knew him.
The memorial and celebration of life service will be held at the Emerald Hall at 30 Central Street in Abington Massachusetts on Saturday March 2nd from 12 to 4 p.m.
