Howard R. Levy, 74 of Whitman, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2018 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Judith S. (Kurlansky) Levy of Whitman. He is also survived by his children, Jo-Ann (Levy) Cornell of N.H., Marc P. Levy of Brockton, and Danielle W. Levy of Whitman; his grandchildren, Brendan D. Proude of Whitman, and Jacob E. Cornell of N.H. He also leaves behind a sister, Cindy (Levy) Herget and her husband, Ronald Herget of Brockton, a brother, Barry Levy of Methuen, a niece, Kimberlee Herget of Brockton, and a nephew, Scott Herget and his wife, Dina, of Brockton. He was the son of the late Milton and Gertrude Levy.
Howard was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias, where he served as past Supreme Representative of the Domain of Massachusetts and was a former Board Member for Handi Kids. He also served as Past President for Temple Israel of Brockton, where he also ran the bingo hall for many years.
Donations can be made in his name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, located at 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA 02067 on November 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow.
