Helen “Louise” McCarthy-Towle, age, 76 of Brockton, MA passed into her eternal rest on Wed. April 7, 2021. She was surrounded by her family and the caring staff at Seasons Hospice Palliative Care of Milton, MA. Louise was born in Weymouth, MA to James J. Loughan, Jr. and Katherine Spillane Uppling. She graduated Weymouth High. Louise ran a business as a
scrimshaw artist for many years. She was loved by her family, Face-Book friends, and her extended family at her apartment in Brockton, MA where she resided.
Louise also was employed at a Graphic Engraving. Known as the Garden Lady for starting a community garden all the vegetables were distributed to the residents.
When her friends spoke of her, they would say, “She was so sweet, kind and funny. She will be greatly missed.”
She is survived by her three daughters, Kristeen Forte, Karen Sovine and Kathleen Silva and preceded in death by her brother William J. Loughan. She was lovingly.
known as Grandma Louise to 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Louise wanted to be remembered as she was. At her request there will be no ceremony or graveside service.
