Gregory Twomey

Gregory G. Twomey of Whitman passed away Wednesday December 25, 2019. He was 53. Loving son of Nancy F. (Kramarski) Twomey and the late George E. Twomey. Loving father of Jaclyn Evelyn Mae Twomey of Whitman. Brother of Matthew E. Twomey  of GA, Betty Lucier of Brockton, Gail Vangelist of W. Newbury, and the late Mark E. Twomey, Sr., and Mary M. Venuto.

Greg attended Whitman schools and Whitman Hanson Regional High School. He went on to be a “Jack of all trades” working in landscaping, construction, and as an Iron worker and several other professions. He made many lifelong friends along the way. His loyalty to friends and family are some of the many great qualities that made him unforgettable.

In May of 1991 Greg met Linda (Chickie) Meagher Hickney, going on to have one daughter, Jaclyn Greg’s proudest achievement was raising and supporting his daughter Jaclyn, who he loved immensely. His family and friends meant the world to him, something he mentioned quite often.

Another one of Greg's passions was cooking. He was a great cook and prepared many delicious meals for friends and family. He also enjoyed going for car rides, listening to music as well as spending time outdoors. Especially fishing with one of his best friends, who he considered a brother, Richard (Rick Rock) Rittenberg. Our family wants to say a special thank you to Brian, Greg’s roommate and good friend for several years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 10th in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
