Gilbert Gamboa

Gilbert J. "Little Joe" Gamboa, 69, of New Bedford passed away Sun., Jan. 26, 2014, following a long illness. He was the son of the late Jose and Firmina Gamboa.

In his earlier years, Mr. Gamboa was a singer/performer in the music industry. Drywall was his trade.

He is survived by his daughter, Jolene; four sons, Gilbert, Cory, Aaron, Brian; five brothers, Ernest, John, Richard, Jose and Michael; and eight grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Geneva, Virginia, Guilhermina and Gloria.

His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sat., Feb. 8, at His Mercy Church, 848 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford.
