George F. Scott, 74 lifelong resident of Quincy Point passed away peacefully at his home on Monday April 18, 2016 with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Lynn) Scott for 30 years. He was the son of the late Thomas and Helen Scott. George joined the Navy and served honorably on the U.S.S. Howard W. Gilmore from 1961-1965. He worked in the Quincy Shipyard, then as a General Contractor for G.F. Scott and Sons. His first passion in life was his family and friends. George was most happy on the water boating and fishing.
He is survived by his sons Thomas, Alexander, Parker and Douglas all of Quincy, and his late daughter, Brenda Scott. Grandfather of Jessica, Stephanie and Savannah. Great grandfather of Bobby, Abby, Ally and Peyton. Also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
At George’s request there will be no calling hours and burial will be private.
