George Card

George E. Card, Jr. (79) of Sagamore Beach, Ma. passed away on May 12, 2023 surrounded by his family.  George is survived by his wife Grace Card, his sister Jean D’ Angelo and her husband Jack of Carmichael, CA., his son Robert E.Card and his wife Jean Card of Madison,CT and his daughter Andrea Stevens and her husband Russ Stevens of Boxford, Ma. George is also survived by his grandchildren Andrew, Will and Michael Card and Garrett, Alexandra and Nicholas Stevens along with several nieces and nephews.

George graduated from Hull High School in 1961 then joined the United States Air Force. He worked for The New England Telephone Company for many years before he retired and moved from Braintree to Sagamore Beach.  George adored his wife, his children and grandchildren and could not be more proud of his family. He and Grace spent many winters on Little Gasparilla Island in Florida with friends, most often celebrating the Patriots Super Bowl wins.

George always loved walks on the beach and was considered an expert skimmer of stones.  He always shared kind words, strong hugs and simple advice. Some of his most lovable traits included cheating at mini-golf, burning hamburgers on the grill, long talks on the back deck and not being able to finish the punchline of a joke accurately. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and he will be missed very much.
