Francine Grieco

Francine Alice (Guenebeaud) Grieco of Stoughton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 11, 2014 surrounded by her family. Francine was the wife of the late John W.; and devoted mother to Christine Gurley, currently of Stoughton, Richard Grieco of East Bridgewater, Jack Grieco of Middleboro and Russell Grieco of Colleyville, Texas. She was the loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Francine was born in Algiers, North Africa, in 1923. She met her future husband during World War II while he was stationed in N. Africa. The couple returned to the U.S. in 1946. Prior to moving to Stoughton, they lived for a time in E. Boston, then Easton before settling in Stoughton where they ran a large poultry farm for many years. Francine loved working in her yard, traveling and enjoyed spending time with family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Grace Church, at 101 Wales Ave., in Avon.
