Emilie Tercie Louissaint was born in Gonaives, Haiti, November 10, 1937 to her parents Erzillie Viljean and Thermitus Louissaint. Emilie passed peacefully on July 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM at South East Rehab. Center in the presence of some of her children and friends.
Emilie worked hard as a single mother, she worked as a dressmaker, Nanny and a housekeeper. In all her professions, Emilie always a hard worker who strived for perfection. Emilie was revered for her simple elegance and festive spirit. She loved spending time with all her family but, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emilie is survived by her four children Nadia Foureau, Marcquiano Louissaint, Myrlene Legendre Desir and Claudette Bourgeois. Her sibling; Leonette Louissaint, her daughter in law Sandra Vertus, her sons in law Rejean Bourgeois, Jerry Desir. Grandchildren Kayla, Julien, Joey Bourgeois, Kevin, Oliver Desir, Dylan Foureau, Andy, Dustin and Terry Louissaint. Great-grandchildren Jensy, Jaden, and Naomi. Sister in Law Mimine Louissaint.
Nieces and nephews: Micheline. Solange, Virginie, Venante, Marie Renette, Sandra, Mona, Kekette, Merline, Joanne, Michelle, Beatrice, Julienne, Judith, Amanda, Julia, Maude, Gine, Edwin, Natalie, Daphne, Sha’mika, Shatrice, MarieJeane, Elfide, Adline, Jopine, Ashli, Huerda, Marjorie, Marjorie, Jonny Ambroise, Harold, Bruno, Jacques, Jean-Rene, Jacques Jr., Luc, Penel, Patrick, Antoine, Marie Jean, Anselot, Guerino, Orlandy, Vernick, Dorleus, Jeanclaude, Jimmy and a plethora of other relatives and friends in New York, Haiti, Canada, Boston and Florida.

Funeral Mass to follow in Holy Ghost Church, 518 Washington St., Whitman at 10 :30 am.
Burial at Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman.
