Edwin Olson

Edwin J. Olson of Hanson passed away peacefully October 28, 2014 surrounded by friends and family at the Wingate Nursing Facility in Kingston. He was the cherished companion of Nina French of Hanson for the past 25 years. Loving father of the late Christopher and Robert Olson. He leaves behind his daughter-in-law Dianne Olson of CA. Granddaughters Maggie Olson and Molly Porter, and two great-grandchildren Hayley and Jaxon all of CA. Brother of the late Helen Kennedy. Uncle of Nancy Kennedy of Quincy and Holly Leaven of Dedham.

Ed was a WW II Veteran serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed his life traveling extensively and as often as possible with friends. His passions were sailing, the opera, and going to football games at Harvard Stadium. He was a lifetime member of the Squantum Yacht Club, and it was without a doubt his favorite place to be.

He is also survived by Nina Richard, and Nancy French of Hanson, and Joshua French of Brockton. Jon and Amanda Saltonstall and their sons Jake and Ryker of Kingston. Edwin will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
