Edward P Facchetti

Edward P. Facchetti of East Bridgewater passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 73. Ed was born and raised in Needham, attended Xaverian Brothers High School and graduated with the class of 1968. After graduating Ed went on to attend Babson College and achieved his bachelor’s degree in business. He used his degree immediately and started his own company, Homestead Realty. He also worked as a manager with One Beacon Insurance Company until his retirement in 2005. He has lived in East Bridgewater with his wife, Kathy, for the past 17 years.

Ed was an intelligent man with a big heart. He was an avid reader, appreciated history and had the answer to every trivia question that came his way. As a former trustee of the White Pines community, he enjoyed walking the neighborhood and seeing all his friends and neighbors. Ed and Kathy took many trips and vacations with their favorite being Las Vegas, Aruba and Disney World. Above all else Ed was always ready to help anyone who needed it and would do anything for his family with a smile on his face.

Ed was the son of the late Francis and Marie Facchetti. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Kathy Facchetti of East Bridgewater. He was the brother of Frank Fachetti and his wife Anne of Barnstable and predeceased by his sister, Marie Elena. He was the brother-in-law of Anne and Paul Novak of Bridgewater, Billy and Judy Wusteney of Bridgewater and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet Ed’s family during a visitation on Wednesday May 1, 2024, from 10-11AM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home (760 Washington St. Whitman). A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation in the funeral home at 11AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Ed’s memory.
