Edith Mcwilliams

Edith H (Holmes) McWilliams, 98, of Whitman, MA, died peacefully at her home in Whitman on February 21, surrounded by her loving family, following a period of failing health. Edith was born in Jamaica Plain and was the daughter of the late Louise A and Harry A Holmes.  She was married for over 50 years to the late Thomas M. McWilliams of Whitman.

She is survived by her loving children, Dianne L. Jenkins and her husband Alan of Brewster, Thomas A. McWilliams of Whitman, and Susan R. White and her husband Thomas of Hanson.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Edith was a teacher aide in the Whitman School system for 20 years.  She was also active in Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, Girl Scouts, and was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Whitman for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be private.
