Douglas Stark

July 3, 1951 — February 6, 2018

Douglas Roy Stark was a veteran, a man of his word and will be missed by many. He was a man of many traits. A truly giving "his all man". He loved fishing, hunting and his family.  He leaves behind his wife of 47 years Paula Stark, daughter Tanya, son, Douglas Jr and two grandsons, Tyler and Soren and extended family.

A message from his grandson Soren:

Douglas Stark a man whom I live with, a man I respect dearly and a man anyone could, should, would admire. He’s a man of will skill and many many talents with respectable actions and cause.  My grandfather is an honest man and I would not pick anyone else to follow and or look up too besides him.
He wears cowboy boots and hats. Jeans, t shirt loves wearing American flag jacket and clothing. Have very long hair and long beard and mustache. Has light blue eyes and olive skin color. Stands over 6 feet 2 inches. He is a Very attractive man. Very intimidating looks but has a very loyal, endearing heart. Has a mountain man look. His voice is deep yet soft. He is a man of little words but when he speaks he means every word he says. He not a yeller. He not one that screams when mad. If he is angry and is quiet, run.
He is a man of MANY talents. He is a master electrician. He can fix cars, small engines, build structures, buildings, sheetrock, electrical, embroider furniture and clothing; he can make jewelry, 3d dream catchers, wood work, etc. I could not name all he can do and or has done. I truly believe my papa can do anything he wants to. He has accomplished so much and is self-taught in many skills. Once he decides to do something, it is done to perfection. Everything he has is from hard work and determination.  Nothing handed to him he worked for everything.
Proud American proudly flies his American flag. He has high morals. He believes in keeping your word. He stands by his word. A handshake is a contract between 2 people. Whatever he does, he does it with 100%. If he borrows something when he returns it, it will be better than it was before he borrowed it. It will be cleaner, working better, smell better, etc. Whatever he does he puts his all into it. The saying blood sweats and tears that are my papa's work. He believes in his roots, Native American ways. He believes in living of the land, hunt, and fish for food. He believes in saving the earth. Cares about the future for me and even my children someday.
My papa would give you anything you need or want. He would never ask or want anything in return. He is a great provider, protector, role model, all around great man. He is my hero. In his prime years there is nothing he couldn't do. My mom is a female version of my papa. My papa taught my mom and now me. We are go getters, givers, doers, survivors. He fell About 13 years ago 30 feet onto concrete. Which has changed his body abilities but not who he is?
Douglas Stark is a true hero and not just my grandfather but my Papa. Meaning he is also my role model, my grandpa, the father Figure (I never had an always wanted) and who I inspire to become.
