David F. Vaughan, of Halifax, age 76 passed away on March 17th at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. David was born in 1941 in Boston to Maurice Vaughan and Claire (Hughson) Vaughan. He worked at White Fuel in South Boston for many years, first as an oil burner technician and then as a salesman. David enjoyed spending time with his family at Loon Mountain and traveling to the Caribbean. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis (Hammond) Vaughan. He is survived by his daughters Diane Nash, her husband Steve, and Rene Vaughan and his greatest joy, granddaughter, Taylor Nash. Sisters, Patricia Lionberger, Maureen Vaughan, Kathryn Brandi, Claire Burdziuk and her husband Vin. Brother of the late M. William Vaughan and Richard Vaughan, and late nephews John Falcone and Jeffrey Campbell. Godfather of Justin Campbell. Beloved brother-in-law of Deborah Campbell, her husband Richard and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday March 24th 10 am-11 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am in the funeral home.
