David D. Lane

David D. Lane of Abington passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on June 2, 2023, at the age of 68. David was raised and educated in Braintree graduating from the Braintree High School class of 1973. David was an accomplished Carpenter and worked for himself to make a living for his entire carpentry career.
David a talented man with many hobbies. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and vacations to Canada or tropical locations with his family and friends. When he wasn’t building his kids treehouses, jungle gyms, and skating rinks, he was attending all their sporting events and activities. He was truly a family man and cherished all the time he got to spend with them. 
David was the loving father of Nicole Baracchini and her husband Chuck of Halifax, Kristin Giudici and her husband Jeff of Foxboro, John Lane of Abington and Amanda Chamber and her husband Ryan of Whitman. He was the proud grandfather of Vincent, Grace, Samantha and Jordyn. David also leaves behind his former wife and life long companion, Anne Marie Lane. David was the brother of Robert Lane, Russ Lane and Marcia Morgan. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy Cook, father Roger Lane, sister Nancy Hayward and mother in law Katharine Shellmer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of life in memory of David on July 29th from 12pm-4pm at the Braintree Elks lodge, 788 Liberty Street, Braintree Ma 02184. Donations may be made in David’s memory to Habitat for Humanity.
