Dana William Pohlson

Dana William Pohlson of Abington passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2025, at the age of 48. Dana was born in Weymouth and attended school there before moving to Abington. He graduated from South Shore Regional Vocational High School with high honors and a college scholarship. He attended UMass Amherst and graduated with a degree in computer science. Dana joined the Army National Guard and proudly served for 22 years with tours of duty in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dana had a variety of hobbies across many different interests. He enjoyed studying astronomy, brewing beer and gardening. Dana loved doing anything outdoors including surfing, fishing and even making his own fishing rods. He was a person that would always lend a helping hand and cherished his family and close friends.

Dana was the beloved son of Noreen Pohlson, William Diliberto and his wife Lisa. He was the loving father of Emily. Brother of Amy Shea and Daryll Ellis. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in memory of Dana on Friday April 4, 2025, from 4-7PM in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, Whitman MA. A graveside service will take place the following day Saturday April 5, 2025, at 11AM in the Old North Cemetery, Weymouth MA.
