Curtis Metzger

Curtis S. Metzger of Beverly passed away Sunday March 3, 2013 surrounded by his family at Kaplan Hospice in Danvers. He was 53. Curt grew up in Topsfield and attended Masconomet Regional High School and gradated from Governor Dummer Academy in 1978. After moving to Lighthouse Point, FL with his family Curt attended Western Carolina University earning at B.S. degree in Recreational Management. He was an outdoor enthusiast and worked as an outdoor guide and recreation coordinator. Curt was a gifted athlete who enjoyed playing many sports, including semi-pro baseball. He was an avid rock collector.

Curt is the son of the late George and Christine (Paige) Metzger of Lighthouse Point, FL. He is survived by his daughter Bailey Blue Metzger Bergstrom of Salt Lake City, UT, sisters April and Tracey Metzger, both of Danvers and brother John (Metzger) Lloyd of Amherst; his niece and nephews Alanna C. Lloyd, J. Ryan Lloyd of Amherst, MA, the late, beloved Brenden Metzger Arizandieta of Danvers, and former wife Kelly (Ferris) Metzger of Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 6th, 1pm at The Congregational Church of Topsfield, 9 East Common Street, Topsfield, MA.
