Carole Ann Lockhart, 83, of East Bridgewater passed away peacefully on January 5, 2022 after a hearty struggle with a brief illness. She was born and raised in Medford, MA by her parents, the late Charles E. Loberg, and Lillian E Frazier. She is the sister to the late Elizabeth L (Loberg) Hudson. Carole was married to the recently deceased Walter L Lockhart, her lifelong sweetheart for 66 years. They began their family in Lynn, and brought everyone to East Bridgewater in 1970.
Her family was her greatest pride. She is survived by her children, Cheryl A. (Lockhart) Ortenzi and her husband, Roger of East Bridgewater, Kim P. (Lockhart) Sweeney and her husband, Donald of Plymouth and Lisa E. Lockhart of Scituate, RI. She is also the mother of the late Scott D. Lockhart, and his widow Robin (Somers) also of East Bridgewater. Carole celebrated the lives of six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind nieces and a nephew who shared time and love.
Carole was retired from work in the medical billing/coding field; and provided personal home health care in her retirement years. She loved to cook, sew, hug, and was all things purple or chocolate.

Carole wished for no services, just a swift trip to the Spirit in the Sky. the family desires to host a celebration of life for she and Walter in the future.
